For the ninth consecutive year, Vigilar Group, in collaboration with its partner NOC Security, has organized the security service for the Milan Duomo Christmas Markets, an event organized by Confcommercio Milano together with Promo.ter.

The 2025 edition opened today, Tuesday 2 December, with the inaugural ceremony attended by Mayor Giuseppe Sala, Carabinieri General Musso, and the leadership of Confcommercio. As per tradition, the opening of the event was accompanied by an important moment of solidarity: Confcommercio donated contributions to organisations that work daily in service of the Milanese community, including Opera San Francesco per i Poveri, the National Cancer Institute, the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute, and O.N.A.O.M.A.C. – National Assistance Organisation for the Orphans of Carabinieri Service Members.
A gesture that reaffirms the social value of the markets and their deep connection with the local community.
As every year, the inauguration was also an opportunity for the traditional meeting between Mayor Giuseppe Sala and our President Francesco Castro, a symbolic moment of courtesy that highlights Vigilar Group’s role in ensuring a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment.
Un presidio continuativo fino all’Epifania: sicurezza h24
The 2025 Christmas Markets take place from the opening day until Epiphany, attracting visitors from all over Italy and abroad. For the entire duration of the event, a 24/7 security presence is ensured, seven days a week, guaranteeing constant coverage both during daytime hours—characterized by large flows of visitors—and during nighttime hours, when the area is closed but still requires active surveillance against theft, damage, and intrusions.
The security service: prevention, observation, and intervention in a complex setting

The service includes access control, perimeter surveillance, flow management, observation of suspicious behaviour, and constant coordination with local authorities. One of the most significant aspects is the prevention of predatory crimes: in past years, thanks to the work of NOC operators, numerous theft attempts have been thwarted, often linked to specialized groups that exploit the crowds to carry out their actions. The speed of intervention and the operators’ strong observational skills have ensured a safer environment for both visitors and exhibitors.
